Long Acting Static ISP

Long Acting Static ISP is a fixed IP address that does not change. Unlike dynamic IP addresses, a Long Acting ISP address remains the same after being assigned to a device (such as a computer, server, or router) — it does not change over time. Long Acting ISP addresses are typically assigned by a network administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP), and the address remains unchanged even after the device restarts or disconnects.

Characteristics of Long Acting Static ISP:

  1. Fixed: Once assigned to a device, a Long Acting ISP address does not change automatically unless manually modified by a network administrator.

  2. Stability: Since the address remains constant, Long Acting Static ISP is suited for services requiring long-term stable communication, such as website servers and mail servers.

  3. Simplified Management: For devices requiring remote access, a static IP simplifies network configuration and management — for example, setting firewall rules or configuring domain name resolution.

  4. Configuration Required: Long Acting Static ISP requires manual configuration by a network administrator, typically obtained through the ISP or set up locally by an administrator.
